Results reported earlier today by the University of Kentucky’s Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory confirms the diagnosis of West Nile virus affecting a 2nd Kentucky horse.
The diagnosis is based on WNv-specific IgM antibodies detected from a sample collected/submitted 10/10 and compatible clinical symptoms.

Onset Date:     10/09/19        Down, could rise/stand with assistance, while standing presents ataxia with proprioception deficit – did not respond to treatment, progressively worsened.
Vaccination:    No WNV Vacc History,
